Youth Pastor

Ben Bextermueller has been the Youth Pastor at Gashland since December 2011.  Before coming to Gashland, Ben served as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Bethany, MO and First Baptist Macon, MO.  Ben sees youth as not just the future leaders of the church, but that they can be leaders of the church right now.  Ben desires to reach and teach youth to be devoted followers of Christ, making an impact within their culture. 

 

Family is very important to Ben.  His wife Shellie is his biggest supporter and best friend.  They have 3 children: Addison, Jase, and coming soon Baby Ben.  In their spare time the family loves to watch the St. Louis Cardinals.  2011 was a fun year for the Bextermueller's.  They enjoy watching sports, and Ben enjoys playing them.  Ben is also a history buff which Shellie also loves because it is something that helps her go to sleep. 

 

Ben's favorite verses: James 1:2-4.  Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
